Terms of use

IRON ATLAS (working title). Last updated 20 October 2026.

In short. The game is free and in an open playtest, so things change and can break. Be decent to other players, do not cheat, and do not put anyone's personal details in names or chat. Chat, and having your plays counted, are for ages 15 and over.

1. Who runs the game

IRON ATLAS is run by {{OPERATOR_NAME}} ("we"). Contact: {{CONTACT_EMAIL}}; see About & contact. By playing you agree to these terms. How we handle data is in the privacy notice.

2. A free playtest

The game costs nothing and sells nothing. It is unfinished: rules, maps, balance and features change often, matches can end early when the game is updated, and results, names and the leaderboard may be reset. There is no account; your progress lives with a random id in your browser (see the privacy notice), so clearing your browser's data starts you over.

3. Age

The game is meant for players aged 13 and over. Chat with other players, and the option to have your plays counted, are for ages 15 and over. If you are younger than 15, play alone or with people you know, keep "count my plays" off, and ask a parent or guardian before you chat.

4. How to behave

In your name, in chat and in feedback, do not:

Choose a player name that is not your real name. Names that break these rules, or that look like part of the game, are refused or removed.

5. Play fair

Do not use bots, scripts or other tools that play or give orders for you, exploit bugs (report them instead), play several seats or browsers to push someone up the leaderboard, or attack the service (overloading it, scraping it, or getting around its limits). Diplomacy, pacts and broken pacts inside the game are part of play.

6. Chat and moderation

Chat is filtered automatically: links are removed and common insults are masked. You can mute any player from the chat panel; the mute lasts 30 days, in later matches too. Messages are kept with the match and deleted 24 hours after it ends.

To report a player, press ⚑ (Report) next to their name in the chat panel: we get your note and the server's copy of your recent chat lines with them. You can also write to {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} with the match link or time and what happened, for example about content you think is illegal. We review every report. We may remove or reset a name, remove results from the leaderboard, delete messages, and stop someone from playing online. Where we can reach the person affected, we tell them what we did and why, and they can ask us to look at it again by writing to the same address.

7. What you post

Names, chat messages and feedback stay yours. You let us show them to the other players of your matches and on the leaderboard, keep them as the privacy notice describes, and use feedback to improve the game. You are responsible for what you post.

8. Our game

The game, its code, art, map and sounds belong to {{OPERATOR_NAME}} (open-source parts are under their own licences; see credits). You may play it and share links to it, record and stream your matches, and write about it. Do not copy, resell or host it yourself.

9. No guarantees

The game is provided as it is, while it lasts. We do not promise that it is always available, free of errors, or that your results and names are kept. We are not liable for losses from using the game, except where the law does not allow that to be excluded, in particular for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and nothing here takes away rights consumers have by law.

10. Ending

You can stop at any time and delete your data from the menu (Your data). We can end the playtest, or stop someone from playing who breaks these terms.

11. Changes

When these terms change, this page shows a new date at the top. If a change matters to you, you can stop playing and delete your data.

12. Law and disputes

Greek law applies, and the courts of {{COURT_CITY}}, Greece, hear disputes. If you play as a consumer in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country and can go to its courts. Please write to us first: most things can be sorted out by email.
